NAIP Bank of Resources

This bank of resources was created during the Erasmus+ funded Strategic Partnership NAIP - Innovation in Higher Music Education during 2014-2016.

This two year strategic partnership aimed at the modernisation of curricula, and teaching and learning approaches in higher music education through a further development of the Master of New Audiences and Innovative Practice (NAIP). The partners in the project were the following institutions:

  • Royal Conservatoire, The Hague
  • Prince Claus Conservatoire, Groningen
  • Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavik
  • Royal College of Music, Stockholm
  • Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London
  • Norwegian Academy of Music, Oslo
  • Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
  • University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna
  • National University of Singapore
  • Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen

The strategic partnership focused on developing content for the NAIP training programme and partnering institutions, especially with regards to the development of pedagogical knowledge and skills of teachers. The aim of the project was also to spread the ideas of creative collaborative practice into regular training programmes, by creating an open database of information. We hope to contribute to the training of musicians as they meet the challenges of today's music scene: to be an author, performer and producer at the same time, as well as being able to challenge society and mobilise people in the creation and performance of music.

The database was created by the project's working groups. The resources on NAIP Modules and Leading & Guiding were created by Working Group 3,  Research by Working Group 2 and Online Learning was developed by Working Group 1.
